The
Fort Bend Junior Service League's inaugural cookbook, Edible
Heirlooms, is the talk of the town! We have heard raving reviews
about many of our recipes.
If you are tired of your same
old weekly menu then try a few new delicious entrees. Karl
Camenzind of Karl's at the Riverbend has a fabulous recipe for
Venison Medallions á la Quail Hollow. Grilled Chicken Kisses
might be a winner if you prefer chicken. It is one of Steve
Onstad's recipes from Swinging Door Barbeque favorites. If it's
a new appetizer or side dish you are in search of, look no
further because Mayor Joe Gurecky's Herbed Cheesecake as well as
Mayor David Wallace's Corn Thing are also big hits.
All proceeds from the cookbook
will be donated to the Meals on Wheels program of Fort Bend
Senior Citizens, Inc. To date, FBJSL has been able to donate $18,000 to this program from our cookbook sales. The cost of the cookbook is $22 per copy
and can be purchased below. Cookbooks may also be purchased at
various retailers in Fort Bend County.
