Welcome to the Fort Bend Junior Service League's website.

The Fort Bend Junior Service League ("FBJSL") is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing their potential and improving the Fort Bend County community through effective action and leadership. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable, and is accomplished in a friendly atmosphere of goodwill and camaraderie.

FBJSL was officially formed in January 2001 by a small group of women whose civic and community interests prompted the formation of a service organization dedicated to serving the needs of Fort Bend County.

FBJSL volunteers commit over 12,000 hours per year in support of our core placements and community. Our core placements are Child Advocates of Fort Bend County, Fort Bend Community Partners Rainbow Room, Fort Bend County Womenís Center, Literacy Council of Fort Bend County, and Red Cross - Southwestern Branch. There are many opportunities for young ladies and women of Fort Bend County through our Fort Bend Teen Service League and Fort Bend Junior Service League.

FBJSL has donated over $855,000 to Fort Bend charities since 2001, and is striving to exceed the milestone "Million Dollar Mark" in 2007-2008. FBJSL would not have accomplished our goals each year without the support of generous donors and volunteers in our League and the community.

FBJSL currently is working on five events and projects. These events and projects are Sugar Plum Market (a holiday shopping extravaganza and fashion shows - November 2 and 3, 2007); Pancakes & Pajamas (a fun family event - February 9, 2008); Glitter & Gloss (a day of pampering and fashion show for young ladies ages 7 to 20 ñ March 29, 2008); Charity Ball (Fall 2008); and FBJSLís 2nd Cookbook.
